ARCHIVE RECORDING II: LIGHT ACTS EXHIBITION, GUEST PROJECTS, LONDON – AUGUST 2010

by John on April 19, 2011

Light Acts Exhibition, Guest Projects, London August 2010 - The Black Plume

In August 2010 I was asked by artists Lee Triming and John Askew to perform at the opening night of Light Acts at Guest Projects gallery space in East London. The exhibition featured a series of photography works by John Askew (see flower images), Mary Hurrell’s sculptural pieces and a discussion led by Lee Triming. Unfortunately, at the last minute two other artists’ pieces were pulled from the show and despite our best attempts to make it work, my performance never happened.

This is a run-through rehearsal of my set recorded at home at around 12pm on the day of the show. Performed on a semi-generative SuperCollider synthesis patch I made for the show.

Thanks to John Askew and Lee Triming for everything.
